How should I arrive to my appointment?

Arrive as you are. To ensure an exceptional color experience, we kindly ask that you arrive with your hair in its most natural, product-free state. Please refrain from using styling products, gels, edge control, or heavy leave-in conditioners prior to your appointment.

Detangled, please. If you are arriving following the removal of braids or another protective style, it is essential that your hair be thoroughly detangled and completely free of knots, mats, or tangles from root to tip. This allows us to work with care and precision, without compromising your time or your results.

Freshly cleansed hair. For those transitioning from a protective style, your hair must be freshly shampooed before your visit. A clean canvas is key to achieving consistent color absorption and luminous, lasting results.

Taking these thoughtful steps ensures we can dedicate every moment to your transformation—seamlessly, efficiently, and luxuriously. Should you have any questions ahead of your appointment, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We look forward to welcoming you soon.

Running Late?

We know that life can be unpredictable, and delays happen. However, if you find yourself running late for your appointment, please understand that we may not be able to accommodate your service as originally scheduled.

While we will always do our best to fit you in, availability is subject to your stylist’s schedule and the nature of the service booked. In some cases, your appointment may need to be shortened, adjusted, or rescheduled to avoid impacting other guests’ experiences.

We do not accept checks, American Express, or Discover cards.

Tips cannot be added at checkout and must be given directly to your service provider.

Getting to the Salon & Parking

You’ll find us at 1604B Seventh Street NW, just north of Florida Avenue in the heart of Shaw.

By Car
Street parking is available in the surrounding area, though it can be limited. Please allow a bit of extra time to find a spot. For the most accurate directions, use “1604B 7th St NW, Washington, DC 20001” in your GPS or rideshare app. The salon entrance is a black storefront just past Q Street NW. Please Note: Seventh Street is one-way heading south between Florida Ave and Rhode Island Ave NW.

By Metro
We’re a 2-minute walk from the Shaw–Howard University Metro Station (Green and Yellow Lines). Exit toward 7th Street and walk north—we're just past Q Street on the right-hand side.

By Bus
Several Metrobus lines stop nearby, including the 70 and 79 routes along 7th Street NW.
